My name is Brian Sutton. I am a proud DC native and a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LGPC). I am the CEO and Co-Founder of For Us Therapeutics. I utilize a holistic approach to therapy that deals with clients' mental, emotional, and spiritual parts. I am a United States military veteran and served 12 years as a Psychological Operations Specialist in the United States Army. I have been studying psychology and mental health for over ten years as a passion. I am a college professor and have been teaching since 2017. I have taught courses that include Introduction to Psychology, Psychopathology, Research Methods in Behavioral Science, Introduction to Counseling, and Theories of Counseling. I have presented at American Counseling Association conferences and the District of Columbia Psychological Association on research topics pertaining to diversity and multicultural issues as they relate to African American people. I have studied a variety of topics and issues, including, but not limited to, borderline personality disorder, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, stress, racial identity development, anger management, human consciousness, and Christian spiritual counseling.

I work with a wide variety of clients from all different backgrounds. I conduct individual, couples, family, and adolescent therapy. I work with clients on a wide range of issues to assist them in their healing journey.

I am a doctoral candidate for a Ph.D. in Counseling Education from Walden University, working on my dissertation. I graduated from American Military University with a Master of Arts in Psychology, and I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Social Science. I look forward to serving the community and assisting those in need.
